Who We Work With for Family Portraits
My
clients love their families and
see beyond the limitations of ordinary, “run-of-the-mill”
family portraits.
They want the best representation of their family they can possibly have, and they’re willing to invest in a personal piece of family art.
My clients are:
• Individuals who love and appreciate their families, understand the value of photography, and appreciate the artistry of masterful portraiture. Family
portrait instigators
are Moms, Dads, Grandparents
and other relatives who
want to capture an image
of their family at a
specific time in a particular
place, record their history,
and document their family’s
growth.

• People who value the emotional connection their family has to specific places, and
they want a family portrait that documents their time spent at
meaningful locations. They want a portrait that shows where their family hikes, bikes, skis, plays, loves, laughs or talks in Colorado or anyplace in the world!
• Families looking for a photographer who is truly willing and interested in going out on any location where they would like their portrait done. They
want a family portrait
that lets them look back
on fond memories of time
spent in Colorado or
another meaningful location.
They aren’t interested
in having a portrait
done in the backyard
or at a portrait park
that looks as if it could
be Anytown, USA.
When it comes to their family portrait, my clients want something that is truly personalized and unique. The
families I work with value quality,
and they’re willing to invest in a portrait that’s elegant, masterful and unlike anything they’ve
ever seen before.
Most of my clients have had a bad experience in the past when
trying to get their family portrait
taken…
Do you see yourself in any of these scenarios? This WON'T happen
to you!
“When my family tried to get our portrait done, it was such a pain trying to coordinate everything. Then the photographer didn’t do anything we asked, and the
whole experience was just so chaotic. At the end of a very frustrating experience, we
ended up with a portrait we
hated that’s
now hidden away in the garage.”
“My friend recommended a photographer for our family portrait, but he must have been having a bad day. He was grumpy, pushy, and really difficult to work with. It made the
entire process unpleasant for all of us.”
“The day I scheduled to have our family portrait done couldn’t
have been worse. My husband had been traveling, the kids were
cranky, I had a headache and everyone was going at one another.
We all argued the whole way on the drive to the portrait studio,
and then we had to try to put on a happy face for the photographer.
Every time we look at the portrait, all my
family thinks about is the lousy day we were having. All we see is this fake, happy
facade.”
“Our photographer was very nice and pleasant during the photo session, but then when it came time for the final sale, it was a different story. He didn’t seem to have our best interests at heart. He
did a nice job with the photographs, but then became hard to
deal with. He went back on his word and changed around everything he’d said. What he said up front about prices wasn’t what he said when we sat down to look at the images. He wasn’t
consistent with his pricing, and this ruined the experience for
my family in the end.”
“We had high hopes and high expectations for our family portrait. We
told the photographer what
was important to us, and he didn’t listen. Instead he just did his own thing. My husband is bald and the photographer decided to put hair on his head! He made a 50-inch family portrait that included hair on my husband’s head. When we told him that’s not what we wanted, he got defensive about the work because he was “the artist.” He wasn’t
concerned in the least that we were appalled and dissatisfied.”
“We thought it would be fine to go
with a lower-end photographer, but my family found out the hard
way, you get what you pay for. He showed up to take our photos looking like he’d just crawled out of bed, none of us liked his personality, and he was horrible with the kids. He didn’t look or act the least bit professional. We ended up walking out and haven’t
had the nerve to try anyone else since then.”
If you've had an unpleasant experience such as those described
above, things can be different!
Remember If you’re not crying tears of joy over your
family portrait, you’ll receive a full refund when you work
with us!
