Since virtually the day my first child was born, I have envisioned an heirloom quality portrait of my family. Three children later, Craig McNeil made that dream a reality. From the start of the process Craig worked with my wife and I to pick a stunning outdoor location that captured the spirit of our family. He chose the best time and managed the site logistics. It is with full confidence and positive experience that we offer our reference for the photographic/portrait skills and professionalism of Mr. Craig McNeil. We were fortunate to meet Craig through a silent auction through which we bid on a sitting for a family portrait. It was our first experience with a professional photographer since our wedding date, and, in our minds, the photo(s) that were to be taken would be just as memorable and important to our family.
At our initial meeting, Craig essentially interviewed our family in order to assess what kind of portrait - location, "mood"; and attire - would best capture our family. After a series of conflicts between both Craig and our schedules for sitting dates, we were finally able to find a mutually convenient time and place in mountain areas around Dillon, Colorado. Through the scheduling process, Craig continually offered encouragement that we would find a date and the "ideal" location surrounding Dillon. Ultimately our outdoor photograph was taken (again, Craig's encouragement got us through our session) and then Craig continued to put his skills to use on the post-photograph process of portrait creation and framing. After a single visit to our home, Craig selected an ideal frame within which our family portrait currently resides.
